This week I sat down with Dan again and we made more exquisite corpses…these turned out just as amazing as the first two! We talked more about what we want to do with our corpses: I’d like to be turned into a tree. Ha! No, really we want to keep making these and then have a show and tell so you can see them. It is real special making art with Dan and dreaming up all the ways we can express ourselves – together (it always involves ridiculous ideas and laughter.)
I brought a selection of my favorite small sized paper and added a twist to one of the drawings. We still took hours to goof and create these corpses; both of us are pretty detailed makers and children in old bodies…

When it came time for the big reveal we were already pretty sure they were going to be cool, but these exceeded expectations!

Can you tell who drew what? We each drew three sections…
When making an exquisite corpses you fold the paper into three equal parts for a 2-3 artists to draw on. Each time the paper is passed you ensure the previous drawing/s are concealed. The 2nd and 3rd sections have small marks to indicate where to start drawing from, thus creating a connection for the next drawing. With that in mind, it was even more fun to see how our second corpse was so cohesive!
Until the next time,
