My newest block print was inspired by a gift from the merch line of one of my favorite bands: a tiny butt plug that has their logo on the bottom of it. Look at this fucking gem!
I wanted to create a print that had two colors for the final image – I had to carve two different erasers and stamp one on top of the other. I think it turned out about as well as I can expect being new to block printing. My biggest challenge was getting the prints to line up and for the carved sections to be the same. Lots of learning is ahead of me!
My lines are SO chonky and wonky compared to how fine I like and know how to draw. It makes me laugh at the rudimentary quality of my prints. Gotta start somewhere!
Speaking of rudimentary, I went on a hunt for one of my first fine line drawings, I’ve honed my skills significantly over the years!
