art was made this week

I’ve been away from my studio a lot lately but I am still finding ways to make art! This last week I made these goodies:

I’ve been making the same subject multiple times in different mediums. It helps with the “what should I make?” question that can plague an artist. I recently made a few #2 pencils. (see past posts with a fallout #2!)

My next bit of inspiration came my dinner plans with my partner and friends. I thought it’d be fun to make small offerings for them.

Hot Pot! One of the recipients had to ask some clarifying questions on details of this print, which was awesome! It reminded me I need to slow down and think through my composition more. I do this with my fine line drawings, but with these prints I just get so excited.

I am super jazzed on these pink and black prints. I have to carve my eraser in two stages and really think through the positives and negatives. Definitely want to make more of these!
