Today was a fucking amazing day! I did something new and hard and I did it pretty damn well! I am so proud of myself, I just, I can’t believe how awesome this is.
Today I professionally framed my own work start to finish. *GASP* This is such a cool turn of events in my life. And to be able to complete my work all through my hands is actually kind of unbelievable.
I learned that the way I designed my framing (8 years ago I designed my standard framing and it STILL gets compliments) is a challenging one. I’ve been framing under some highly skilled framers for 2 1/2 a half months now and if it weren’t for their patience with me through my endless questions and through my starting from nothing I couldn’t have done this today. Thank you to my amazing colleagues. Y’all are a highlight to my week.
With some verbal guidance and the last 2 1/2 months under my belt, I completed my first frame job on my very own drawing. Big day for me. What an accomplishment and dream come true :…)

When I got off work I sat outside for a bit to decompress before walking home and ended up having a good cry right there on the street corner. It is really special to be in this moment in my life. I am so fortunate and grateful for the opportunities that I get to have because people believe in me. Because I believe in me. Today was a special day.
