my show was awesome :…)

I enjoyed my show last week at Bitfactory Gallery here in Denver; it was such a fun night! I invited my friend Mandy to show with me and we really killed it!

Our work is wildly different and complimented one another so well. We each had our own rooms for our body of work giving folks time to dive in and get to know us through our art. I wish I would have gotten more photos, but alas, I do appreciate being in the moment!

It was a most exciting night with all the wonderful people who came out. I felt so loved! It was particularly special to show my storyboards along side the drawings they helped create; folks loved seeing them together and were kind to take a moment to share how much they appreciated my vulnerability. I will continue making my storyboards when I make my bigger works ◡̈

AHHHH! Ok within the first half hour I sold a big piece! It was so special to sell it to this lovely couple who found me through a fellow artist and dear friend, Jimmy (check out Jimmy Freeman!) Selling a piece is exciting on many levels, but for me I am most excited that I get to make another big drawing. I promised myself I can’t make anymore (no room to store them!) until I sold one….well looky here, guess I get to dive into a new storyboard and drawing!

Thank you to my amazing patrons, it is an honor to make art that speaks to you!

Selling my work is a humbling experience. I get to make something out of nothing, have a show and tell, and someone is moved enough to purchase it and display it in their home. That right there is the sugar of life.

I Was Missing You and My Heart Got Heavy (sold)

Thank you to every wonderful soul that joined me on Friday and sent well wishes. My little Ravey heart is still all gushy and full of love days after. I am just so fucking lucky.
