crying in the pen aisle

Well, the pen I’ve built my whole collection of work upon has been discontinued. Today the art store clerk broke the news and I am, without sounding ridiculously dramatic, devastated!

My favorite multiliner pen that I make ALL my drawings with used to be here and was always running low, but now they are gone :””( nooooooo!

I used the Copic Multiliner pens because their black pigment ink was *perfection*. They were also water and alcohol resistant. The kicker for me? The tip was made of metal and not felt. These were the first multipliers I didn’t break and end up having ink ev-ry-where. What am I gonna do?!

I hate microns because those break the second I touch them, with what is apparently a death grip, and always end up exploding ON my drawing. Plus they are not alcohol proof! And this is critical in my storyboards!

I’m going to try another brand but it is also felt tipped and is not alcohol proof. They at least go down to the size I need, unlike so many other multiliners.

(I got myself some emotional support art supplies to soothe my spirits and upon looking in the bag the damn multiliner pen I was going to try out didn’t make it into the bag!! What is happening?!?!!)

Anyway, this is meaningless information for you all, but I am crushed over here! How will I ever recover from this abandonment from COPIC?! And now my pen is gone :/

  1. You will have to update us on where you end up with regard to a multi-liner that you like or at least gets the job done.
