It feels like my art making slowed for the last two weeks…not really sure what was happening, so I spent some time starting things at the frame shop and finished them in the studio.
One of my recent lunch breaks I was working on a new zine and discovered it wasn’t as satisfying for my lunch break drawing time. I’ve concluded it was because I didn’t get to walk home with a new, cool piece of art.

New rule: make things that can be completed in 30 minutes. It feels good to complete something. Since most of my work takes so long, it is a good practice to have tokens of work to reflect on; it keeps me coming back to those long term pieces!

Making art always makes me happy and having quick turn around helps me get through the days I can’t be in the studio. Which, lately, it has been so hard to not spend all my days drawing. That is the plight of the artist: never enough time to make art.
