Loooook! I got to draw from a live model again and I am so happy with how these turned out. The poses ranged from 1-20 minutes and started at the “first pancake” drawing…a little rough, but by the end of the three hour session I feel happy with what I made.
I fucking love life drawing because I get to the opportunity to work from life and bring that home to my fancy drawings, I get to hang with other artists, and I get these fucking amazing treasures. It is like getting presents on Christmas morning for me. Actually, a lot of what I do is like Christmas morning…picking up a drawing from the frame shop, making mini art, getting to attend one of my show openings, all of it brings be so much joy.

It never ceases to amaze me that I can make something from nothing. I feel lucky every moment I get to make art.
I would like to continue finding time to attend life drawing, but I am going to have to decide what to do with these. Making 5-8 a session adds up. Like, maybe I should have a miniatures show and get these all up on a wall and available for collectors? Or make prints…something needs to happen with them because I have been treating them too precious – a sign it is time to let them go. Any suggestions?
