new draaaaawing

I finished a new fine line drawing! I am so fucking pumped! It has been slow coming on the finer drawings. I’ve had some great starts sitting around, including this one, that need to see the light of day. Better to get back into my drawings with some solid starts than nothing at all!

And here it is: “How Do You Wild a Timid Body?”

What’s next? I get to frame this baby! It will be so good to put all my skills to use. I’ve learned so much since I did my first round of ME framing my work this summer. Definitely go into it more confidently and with some new ideas…

Yay, new art! I really enjoy the way that high density elements are juxtaposed low density elements in your work. There’s something balancing to that in that the eyes can explore depths of detail in the high density, and then rest in the low density areas while still finding curiosities all the same. It’s a comforting juxtaposition.

    1. What a beautiful observation for this piece. When I am making my drawings I am always balancing the density, so astute of you to pick that up!
